Viktoria Chikalo (b. 1988, Lviv, Ukraine) is a London-based visual artist and photographer. Having relocated to the UK following the war in her home country, Viktoria’s practice explores themes of identity and human connection, reflecting on her own life experiences. In her photographs, she looks for beauty in fleeting moments that evoke a sense of intimacy, authenticity of spirit, and joy of movement.
Alongside her independent artistic practice, Viktoria works with artists, performers, cultural institutions, and brands to shape visual identities, develop creative concepts and create thoughtful imagery.
Viktoria contributes to publications such as the British Journal of Photography, The Times, The Guardian, ELLE, and Bluecoat Press. She was selected as a winner of the British Journal of Photography Portrait of Britain Award (2024).
Selected clients and collaborators include Sadler's Wells, Snapchat, and the Lviv National Opera and Ballet Theatre. Portrait commissions include Jo Brand, Kevin McNally, Phyllis Logan, and Susannah Harker.
